INTRO TO MOTION

into to motion is a class for students to first dip their toes into the world of after effects. students work through different types of projects to familiarize them with working in AE elements, video footage, stop motion, collage, typography animations, etc. students are able to utilize ai in different ways to assist in projects (like script outlines and ai generated voiceovers) to expand the way they think about and create design work.

Working with Keyframes

at the start of this assignment, students make a gif in any program that they would like. They then take that gif and recreate it in after effects while learning how keyframes operate and other simple tools (position, anchor point, scale, opacity, rotation, and masks).

Trava Explainer Video

in this assignment students are asked to work with video footage and incorporate logo work and typography. sound is a big part of this project and students learn about sound integration and manipulation. the prompt asks for students to consider a way to create interest in a fictional company, Trava, that hopes to get people out and into nature through hiking and other outdoor activities.
