this assignment requires students to create work for use outside of the computer as well as finding second hand ephemera to generate new work. students are able to use magazines, pamphlets, and other print material as well as printing parts of digital work to make an image in a collage style. all work exists in physical form.
the students are given three different quotes. from these quotes they are to pick one to work with and extract a meaning for themselves. They then show that meaning in a visual way. the roughly 7" x 7" pieces are constructed on an 8.5" x 11" piece of card stock.
