BOOKS

as part of the publication design course, the classroom is divided into groups of 6-8 students. each group utilizes the tool gutenberg.org to search for a book or collection to re-design. working as a group, they address the tone, find a theme, and create a visual language for the work. the students typeset the entire book as well as provide the visuals to accompany the piece. students must consider format, size, color, typography, image treatment, pacing, cohesiveness, etc. once the final book is completed it is sent to print using on demand printing through blurb.com and Lulu.com.
